First of all, introduce what is the running-in period, so you can know why the running-in period is so important for trucks.
Before truck assembly, each moving part is processed separately, and there are geometric deviations when processing parts. Therefore, after assembly, some moving parts will contact directly locally, and lubricating oil is difficult to enter the friction surface, resulting in early wear.

The running-in period is to grind away the part that is directly in contact within a certain period of time. This period is called the running-in period. The running-in mileage of a new car is generally 1000 km to 3000 km.
The running-in period has a great impact on the service life and fuel consumption of the vehicle, because the wear during the running-in period will cause the surface of the parts to be pulled and scarred. This rough scar will increase the friction resistance. This scar will also contain metal chips, oil sludge and other debris containing particles. These debris will continue to expand the wear during the movement, and eventually cause failure. Therefore, the running-in quality determines the life of the whole vehicle.
New cars must adhere to routine inspection to find and eliminate problems in advance to prevent future problems:
(1) Check the oil, water and gas (engine oil, battery water, cooling water, tire pressure), and timely supplement if any shortage is found, and timely repair if any leakage, overflow, dripping and leakage is found;
(2) Check whether there is abnormal noise in all parts of the car, and timely repair if any abnormal noise is found;
(3) Check the instrument panel of the car. If the alarm light is on or the computer prompts during driving, it should be repaired in time.
Taboo during running-in period
1. Avoid emergency braking
Hard braking is a bad driving habit, especially for the engine, brake system and chassis of new cars. Driving should be proactive to reduce the impact damage of the engine.
Emergency braking will not only impact the brake system in running-in, but also increase the impact load of chassis and engine. It is better not to emergency braking within 300 km of the first driving.

2. Avoid overload
If the new car runs with full load during the running-in period, it will cause damage to the parts.
Therefore, in the first 1000 kilometers, the general load capacity should not exceed 75% - 80% of the rated load.
3. Don't brake by gear
During the running-in period of a new car, it is strictly forbidden to brake other cars with low gear of the transmission. The engine brake should be used to protect the engine and transmission.
4. Avoid driving at high speed
During the running-in period of the new car, there shall be a maximum speed limit for each gear, and it is forbidden to exceed 3/4 of the maximum speed of the gear.
5. Do not change the oil too early
The initial loading oil is a special lubricating oil for the running-in period, which requires low viscosity, good heat dissipation, excellent cleaning and oxidation resistance. Some car manufacturers also add abrasives that are conducive to running-in, so the engine oil in the running-in period should be changed according to the time specified by the manufacturer, not too early.
The running-in oil has long been out of the historical stage, and the habit of changing oil at the end of the running-in period has also been out of the historical stage.
6. Do not idle and hot the car in place
A new car does not need idle warm-up before starting. If it is idle warm-up in place, it will seriously damage the turbocharger, even in winter.
Many drivers are concerned about the change of fuel consumption during the running-in period. Basically, the fuel consumption of the new car is decreasing within 60000 km, and the difference between the front and rear is within 1~2 litres per 100 km. If the trailer is also new, this number will be even greater. After 60000 km, there is still room for decline, but it is not so obvious. According to whether the driver's driving operation is proper or not, the fuel consumption will no longer decrease with the increase of vehicle mileage by 80000 to 100000 km.
If you do what you should do and avoid what you should not do during the running-in period of a car, it will not only affect the fuel consumption, but also the service life and smoothness of all parts of the whole vehicle.
